John August is an American screenwriter and film director who is best known for his recent work with director Tim Burton. August’s first widely distributed film was 1999's “Go,” which he both wrote and co-produced. His other screenwriting projects include “Titan AE,” “Charlie's Angels,” and “Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle.” His working relationship with Tim Burton, includes writing “Big Fish,” “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,” “Corpse Bride,” and the upcoming “Frankenweenie.” August is currently the executive producer of “Prince of Persia: The Sands Of Time,” due in 2010.
